मतिमंद मुलांना हाताळणे हे एक आव्हानात्मक काम आहे आणि 'चैतन्य' हे आव्हान गेली तेरा वर्षे अविरतपणे पेलण्याचा प्रयत्न करीत आहे. 'चैतन्य' त्यांच्या जीवनाला आधार आणि त्यांच्या जीवनाला सावली देत आहे. त्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी चैतन्यला गरज आहे.

Shree Chaitanya Shikshan Prasarak Mandal has taken up this social issue and undertaken programme to enhance the physical, mental and psychological abilities of mentally challenged children and ingraining the personal, artistic, communal developmental programs for growth, security and education through Warana Chaitanya School for Mentally Challanged Children at Warananagar, Tal. Panhala, District Kolhapur of Western Maharashtra, India, which imparts the spirit of normal life style to them.

To interact mentally retarded children is challenging task. 'Chaitanya' has been attempting this task since last three years. 'Chaitanya' is a bolster and shelter to these neglected children.
